See why prostitutes must leave Abuja urgently

- Prostitutes in Abuja may soon lose business as Mallam Muhammad Bello, FCT minister clamps down on their business

- Vandals, scavengers and other miscreants are also in the target of security agents as ordered by the FCT minister

- The minister is worried that their activities are not causing nuisance in the city, hence they must be removed from the city

The business of prostitutes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, is set to hit the rocks as the FCT minister, Mallam Muhammad Bello, has ordered security agencies to clamp down on their activities.

Besides prostitutes, Nigerian Bulletin reports that vandals, scavengers and other miscreants will also be clamped down by security agencies in Abuja.

Bello said vandalisation of public utilities must stop, noting that any suspected vandal would face the full weight of the law.

At a security committee meeting convened in Abuja, the minister felt pained that most traffic lights in the FCT had been vandalized, a development which had led to failure at such interchanges.
The minister, who directed security agents to clamp down on perpetrators, also said prostitutes would be taken to rehabilitation centres for skills acquisition when arrested.

He said such move will make them useful to themselves and the society where they live.

He said five magistrates have been assigned to five mobile courts for immediate dispensation of justice and meet out sanctions to culprits.
